G Kemet Uhuru Hailing from Buffalo, New York, President Uhuru is a charter member of the South Jersey Professionals Chapter who has served SJP in several capacities. He is a proud alum of the Howard University School of Engineering and an active member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated with a more than 40 year career supporting DoD and FAA programs. He has a demonstrated commitment to community service as a member of the South Jersey community with various youth sports coaching roles, leadership roles in NSBE SJP and in his beloved Fraternity with a proven track record of service and uplift. He lives by the credo of “Don’t Make Excuses, Make Time” with a can do attitude as shown by a career full accomplished tasks and projects reflective of his active PMP Certification. He remains committed to NSBE SJP’s core mission of promoting excellence for the membership as well as future generations of Engineers and Technical Professionals. STEM to the Future! |
Vice President Everett Williams Mr. Williams is an Electronics Engineer at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Pomona NJ. He is a graduate from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science and a Master’s Degree of Science in Electrical Engineering. He has served for over 40 years as a Civil Servant in the United States government. Mr. Williams has been a member of the NSBE-SJP Chapter since 1994. During his membership he has participated in the local Technical Youth Program (TYP), Local/Regional/National Try-Math-A-Lon activities, various Chapter fundraising activities, NSBE Junior activities, Chapter Annual Scholarship activities, and various Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Outreach/Mentoring activities. He is also a former President of the Chapter. He believes the sky is the limit for future generations and enjoys working to help prepare them for success, especially in the areas of STEM. |
Parliamentarian
Jensyl Guy Jensyl Guy was born in Trinidad and Tobago (T&T) and completed his early education in T&T. After high school he attended Howard University (HU) in Washington, DC where he graduated in Electrical Engineering (EE). Mr. Guy worked contract jobs in Alexandra, Virginia for two years supporting NAVY contracts. He then supported FAA contracts at William J. Hughes Technical Center located in Pomona, NJ; then he worked directly for the FAA. He has been supporting the FAA mission for more than 32 years. Mr. Guy takes delight in working with students to encourage them to pursue a career in a STEM field. |
Secretary
Kim Spence Kim Spence is an army brat from South Bend Indiana. She earned her Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware. Her Master’s degree in Computer Science is from the New Jersey Institute of Technology. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and swimming. Kim is also the clerk for the Atlantic City Area Monthly Meeting (Quakers). She also volunteers in the FAA’s AvSTEM (Aviation STEM) program. Her introduction to NSBE began at the University of Delaware where she served as Vice President. Kim has served as the secretary for the South Jersey Professionals chapter since 2020. She believes a life without service, is no life at all. |
Treasurer
Tameah Young Tameah grew up in south Jersey and graduated from Washington Township High School. She wanted to become a Software Engineer. Monmouth University visited her high school on “Instant Decision Day”. Tameah was instantly accepted into the University’s 5-year Software Engineering program based on her academic excellence. Once at Monmouth, she joined the Monmouth Gamers United Club and eventually became their treasurer. Monmouth also rekindled her love of anime. Before becoming a full-time employee at the Federal Aviation Administration, Tameah spent two summers as an intern. Tameah enjoys playing piano, video editing, sci-fi and singing in the church choir. Tameah became the treasurer for the NSBE South Jersey Professionals Chapter in August of 2023. Tameah believes, each day brings an opportunity to discover, deposit, and deliver joy. |
